22-01 HQ Pathway Improvements Baldy View ROP JPA

The project’s goal is to build a new mental and behavioral health pathway. We will partner with Baldy View ROP, Claremont USD, Reach Out, California School Based Health Alliance, CSU San Bernardino, University of Redlands. We will also develop a new articulation agreement with San Bernardino Valley College. Advance existing patient care pathway (sports medicine) including community classroom (internships), provide outreach regarding enhanced pathway, develop articulation agreement with San Bernardino Valley College. Upgrade seven building and construction trades (woodworking) including one manufacturing and product development skills labs (welding) to industry standards. Create articulation agreements with San Bernardino Valley College’s BCT and MPD program. Develop partnership with Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters enhancing curriculum in BCT manufacturing and product development, provide training for instructors, collaborate to meet a shared goal with industry to develop outreach strategies increasing entry of underrepresented and special needs populations into the career field. Improve ornamental horticulture pathway by upgrading skills lab to meet industry standards for underrepresented students at continuation high school; improvements will enable expansion of existing articulation agreement with Victor Valley College. Support college credit attainment for CTE students at Upland Unified School District (UUSD) and Chino Valley USD (CVUSD). Use of TOSAs to support CTE instructors and grant project objectives. Connect teachers/students to a network of relevant industry professionals enabling real-world career exploration virtually within the CTE classroom. Provide professional development training opportunities for CTE teachers, counselors, and career technicians. Support the administration of projects through utilization of trained staff in generally accepting accounting standards.
