Regional SWP Funds were used to Improved Faculty teaching qualities by:
- Sending 5 of the faculty to a boot camp
- Sending All faculty ( Nursing and allied health to Soft Skills Work shop to help with establish a network of faculty and educators to become knowledgeable and implement the use of the Hi-Touch Healthcare: The Critical Six Soft Skills in both the classroom, during clinical, remediation and student/ employer counseling.
Soft skills are central to patient-centered care regardless of an employee’s position within healthcare. The HWI Team in collaboration with faculty, employers and workers have developed the Hi-Touch Healthcare: The Critical Six Soft Skills. These modules include:
- Communication Competency
- Workplace Ethics and Professionalism
- Team Building and Collaboration
- Effective Problem Solving
- Embracing Diversity
- Demonstrating Compassion
