Promote and Share Your Accomplishments!

The Economic & Workforce Development Program is currently seeking nominations for the Exemplary Innovation Award. The award will bring statewide and professional recognition to colleges and their partners for outstanding projects that promote entrepreneurship and innovation within the community colleges. All submissions should demonstrate significant contributions to the field of economic and workforce development through the community colleges.

 

The Exemplary Innovation Award will be presented at the CCCEWD/CALED Joint 2009 Annual Conference being held April 15-17, 2009 at the Portola Hotel and Monterey Conference Center, Monterey, CA.  The award presentation will be on April 16, during the CCCEWD Awards Luncheon.

 

Who should submit nominations?

All colleges are invited to participate.

What types of projects should be submitted?

Examples include:

  • Innovative partnership and resource development
  • Integrating funding sources
  • Programs that demonstrate successful collaboration between career technical education, faculty and economic development
  • New initiatives with future impacts
  • Streamlined, responsive and agile projects
  • Exemplary leadership that inspired change and improvements

How should the project be highlighted on the Nomination Form?

The entry must demonstrate strong innovative/responsive contributions to economic and workforce development within a region or statewide. Submissions will highlight a highly innovative, inspiring and unique project that addressed a specific need within the business community. The project should be transferable and replicable at other sites within the State

.

When?

 

Entry Requirements:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 23, 2009


1.  Entries must be submitted by colleges

2.  Nomination Forms must be completed and submitted by the
     deadline (March 23, 2009), or it will be considered incomplete.

     Incomplete Nomination Forms will not be forwarded for
     review, and will not be retained.
    

3.  Entries must be submitted in a Word or PDF format.

 

4.  Entries must be submitted with a Subject of “Exemplary
     Innovation Award Nomination”
