We Would Like to Hear Your Story

 

An Invitation from the Business/CIS Education Statewide Advisory Committee

 

Have you developed a new program or participated in or provided an exceptional faculty development activity?  If so, the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee would like hear from you.  (A list of qualified programs can be accessed at http://www.calbusinessed.org/besac/top.html). 

 

Topics:

Topics should focus on new experiences and/or strategies (programs, courses, seminars, etc.) that have prepared you, your faculty, or your students for the emerging business and technical skills or jobs in the 21st century. 

 

Format:

Use APA format.   Check out the 2008 Case Studies in Business/Technical Education  

 

Length: 

Paper should be limited to approximately 1,500 - 2,000 words (excluding charts, graphs, visuals or other references placed in the appendix). 

 

Stipend: 

A $250 stipend will be awarded to a maximum of ten case proposals selected by the Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee deemed to meet current needs of business/technical educators, have relevance across disciplines, and adapt to a variety of educational scenarios.  First drafts of manuscripts are due on February 2, 2009 with final reports completed no later than April 17, 2009.  Stipends will be issued upon receipt of the final report.
