New Programs

Update on the Simulation and Gaming: Game Art program—We have received official approval from the state chancellor’s office as both an A.S. degree and a 36-unit certificate.  The Game Art program puts equal emphasis on the artistic and the technical side of 3D modeling and animation for video games. The program combines Art classes with CIS classes to prepare students for entry level positions in game studios or to transfer to 4 year institutions. The program was developed jointly by Norco and Moreno Valley CIS faculty with strong input from the Art department. For more information on the Game Art program please contact Judy Perhamus at Norco or Matthew Barboza/ Matt Fast at Moreno Valley. Check out the Norco Game Art website at www.rcc.edu/norcogameart for more details about the program.
